Company Background
Value Evolutions was founded by Doug Chaet, an accomplished healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience in progressive healthcare delivery.
Prior to starting his own advisory firm, he served as the Chief Managed Care Officer at the Cleveland Clinic. In this enterprise role, he was responsible for developing and implementing the organization's managed care and value-based strategies, innovative payer partnerships, co-branded insurance products, and employer-direct business development with numerous Fortune 500 companies.
Previously, Mr. Chaet was the Senior Vice President of Provider Networks and Value-Based Solutions at Independence Blue Cross where he was reponsible for provider network strategy, contracting and reimbursement, value-based programs, provider network operations, ACO partnerships, provider communications, medical policy, and new technology assessment.
In addition, Mr. Chaet served as the CEO of two successful risk-bearing integrated healthcare delivery systems - the Lenox Hill Healthcare Network in New York and the Piedmont Healthcare Organization in Atlanta, and has held executive positions with several prominent health systems including Sentara Healthcare, HCA, and the University of Florida Health System/Shands Healthcare (UF Health).
Mr. Chaet is also a well known industry convener, having hosted and promoted "best practices" in accountable care, value-based transformation and population health management at more than 50 national conferences over the past 25 years through his longstanding affiliation with the American Association of Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems (AAIHDS), the American Association of Managed Care Nurses (AAMCN), and the National Association of Managed Care Physicians (NAMCP).
